Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund

Inspired by Chanie’s story and Gord’s call to build a better Canada, the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Our goal is to improve the lives of Indigenous people by building awareness, education, and connections between all peoples in Canada.

Music with Sunju

Music with Sunju has become a very popular weekly event. One can Zoom or by coming into the Church. Sunju is a master of playing any selection requested and by adding her own flourishes to any piece of music. Attendees by Zoom have been from our congregation but also from friends in the US and many parts of Canada.

SSOTH Women's Groups

Fidelios Group

We are senior ladies who benefit from care for each other and regular meetings in person.  We do attract new members as they age.  Each fall we help others by filling shoeboxes with new donated items for women in shelters or financial need.

Genesis Group

  • Members meet regularly
  • Primary goals are for friendship, fellowship, and support of our members, as well as, our church and community at large

Nightlights Group

The Nightlights meet several times during the year to support each other, to socialize, and to plan outreach activities.  Outreach includes support for The Compass and other community groups.  Meetings are usually held in the evening and rotate between members’ homes.
