Meet our Staff

Our Minister

Rev. Dr. Trevor Brisbin

Trevor joined the St. Stephen’s on-the-Hill community in September 2025.  Lorne Park is a neighbourhood he knows well.  Growing up around the corner from SSOTH, he attended both Tecumseh Public School and Lorne Park Secondary School.

Trevor’s path to the United Church of Canada began after serving in another denomination, where he became convinced that the way of Jesus must always include full equality for people of every sexual orientation and gender expression. His ministry is rooted in compassion, radical welcome, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to belong.

Beyond Sunday mornings, Trevor is passionate about bringing hope and healing into the world. He believes stories have the power to change hearts and systems, which is why he’s been involved in producing two films: Saint Judy—the true story of an LA immigration attorney fighting for the rights of women refugees, and Broken Courage—a documentary following a former child soldier’s journey to healing with the help of a trans woman.

Academically, Trevor holds a doctorate from Claremont School of Theology.

For Trevor, faith is never about ‘conformity’ but about a constant becoming—together.  At St. Stephen’s, he’s committed to making sure that whoever you are, wherever you’re from, whomever you love and however you identify, you can find a home here.

When looking to connect with Trevor, you’re likely to find him at the local hockey rink where he volunteers for youth hockey development or at the dog park, with the family bernadoodle, Millie.

Meet our Church Office Administrator

Brenda Blinco

My love of St. Stephen’s began over 20 years ago attending with my children, volunteering in the nursery during services, and later part of our legendary giant garage sales!

When the position of office administrator became available, it felt like the right fit from  the start, having worked in the administration field with both large and small companies over the years.

With this position and volunteering in stewards, fundraising, etc., it is a pleasure to work with everyone to reach our goals, as well as spending time with our wonderful congregation.
