Daily Scripture Reading
The former Yale University Theologian and Scholar Dr. Hans Frei once described the Bible as being “an identity description of God.” The Scriptures are a place where we can deepen our knowledge of God and of the great story of faith. As a result, to read the scriptures is to deepen our relationship with God and with the men and women of faith whose stories are also recorded in these ancient texts.
The words of Scripture are foundational to our faith. The Bible is a living book. During his earthly ministry Jesus displayed a deep knowledge of Scripture, even reading from the book of Isaiah as a young boy.
