We will hold a short Congregational Meeting on Sunday, April 8th, following the worship service, for the purpose of electing members to a Joint Search Committee. Several people have already volunteered for this important job, but there will be an opportunity for additional nominations, should anyone else feel called to help with this work.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Bruce McLeod Honoured As Minister Emeritus As Part Of The 60th Anniversary Celebrations
On Sunday, we welcome Rt. Rev. Dr. Bruce McLeod, along with his wife and partner in ministry Rev. Joyce Kelly. They have been members of the SSOTH congregation and have honoured us with their worship leadership many times over the years. Rev. Dr. Bruce McLeod was called to be our first minister 60 years ago and served from 1958 to 1965. He served our new congregation with wit and wisdom, music and the message and a joyous enthusiasm. The Rt. Rev. Dr. Bruce McLeod went on to serve as the Moderator of the United Church of Canada and as a Senior Ecumenical and Interfaith Leader in Canada and internationally. We are delighted to celebrate the extraordinary role that Rev. Dr. Bruce McLeod has had in the life of SSOTH.
